Our Approach
I’m Bryce Sudweeks and the owner of ‘I Want Handy’. I started my career as a handyman quite young. I loved taking things apart and trying to figure out how they work (the tough part was putting the thing back together!) I grew up in a home where the garage was always filled with power tools, hand tools, wood, and other supplies. My dad taught me some of the basics while doing some custom furniture fabrication, mainly aquarium stands. He even helped guide me through my Eagle Scout project (seen on left) which was a stained and lacquered oak pulpit for my local church.
I received some more formal training in 2010 from Fred Feldman, a handyman from Ben Lomand, Ca. He hired me for assistant work for about 2 years, he taught me a lot about working for yourself as a handyman and trained me in a lot of the many skills needed for the job. I worked for myself in the bay area for a few years mainly through referrals. I found myself working with a friend who owned a local handyman business called Oakland Handyman. After about 2 years for the company I moved in Baltimore MD in August of 2016.
I consider myself a happy, energetic, creative, helpful and clever guy. I love solving problems, creating and maintaining a clean and safe home environment for people, utilizing my skills in a productive way, and meeting new people and going new places. being a handyman is a perfect job for me. When I’m not fixing your house I like to spend my time outdoors, typically with my wife and our dogs. I’ve been a musician and stage performer my entire life and typically have some kind of performance booked for myself.
I’ve gained a lot of experience in home repairs over the years and I feel confident I can help you with almost anything. If I don’t have the right tools for a specific job or I think the job should be done by a licensed contractor i’ll tell you right away. Feel free to contact me at the email below.
